San Juan Islands (Pacific Northwest)

The San Juan archipelago is America’s gateway to the Pacific Northwest, and for many an intrepid kayaker, the start of the famed “inside passage”. At low tide there are said to be over 700 islands and islets, but most visitors go to one or all of the three main islands the Orcas, San Juan and Lopez. On this expedition we’ll leave out of Friday harbor and paddle four fun-filled days through the waters of this far-off wilderness, exploring hidden caves and beaches along the way. We’ll investigate the natural history of this place time forgot and reconnect our spirits to nature. We’ll be accompanied by sea otters, bald eagles, and orca. We’ll dine on gourmet meals prepared by our guides in dutch ovens and over open flame. To enjoy this unique experience we’ll paddle in the comfort of Seaward double kayaks known for their stability and seaworthiness. All equipment is provided for this adventure and all you’ll need is some clothing, personal gear, and a sleeping bag. Our trips are kept small to minimize the impact on the environment. This expedition is ideal for folks interested in multi-day kayak trips or wilderness expeditioning. Our guides are highly skilled and certified, and they share a love of the outdoors that is unparalleled among most outfitters.

Price: $650

For Nature lovers in Humboldt County is there any better season than springtime here on the Northcoast! Birds, whales with babies, wildflowers and gorgeous sunsets all beckon us to the outdoors in a kayak. This is the time to sign up for our family style river trips and kayak through old growth redwood forest.
Our whale watching season has begun and we\'ll be running trips every weekend out of Trinidad Cove.
This season Humboats is making the leap to Stand-up-paddle boarding. We will have a full rental fleet and Guided local tours with our newest team member Daniel.
Our last bit of news is that humboats will be offering rentals once again from the pier on F st in old town Eureka, so stop by there or come see us at our Island shop. Happy paddling and take lots of picture.

Comments: The end of a great trip to the magical Sea of Cortez. We paddled and played for 5 days and nights. We took in the sights of Bahia de los Angeles and paddled through the myriad island chains there. Little brother Christopher accompanied me as a guide on this trip and we can\'t wait to go back again!!!
