Arbolitos / La Bufadora (Baja, Mexico)

For this expedition we値l team up with the folks at Liquid Fusion Kayaks in San Diego. We値l leave our sea kayaks behind and paddle in river kayaks for this hair-raising, adrenalin-packed adventure. Known for some of the most awesome sea caves and rock gardens in the world, Arbolitos is tucked near the base of Punta Banda on the Pacific side of Baja, Mexico. Unlike the near lake-like serenity of the Sea or Cortez, the pacific side of Baja is open to the large swells that roll in unimpeded before crashing headlong into the Baja coastline and creating interesting caves.
Our drive-in campsite gives us the ability to bring everything and the kitchen sink. Meals are lavish and camplife is kicked back. We set our tents up right on the cliffs that overhang the watery playground of seastacks, overfalls, chutes, sea caves, and arches. Each day rises to the smell of coffee and salt air. After a hearty meal we suit up and launch down the cobblestone beach. Around the corner and it痴 like Disneyland on water. If your game to run a gauntlet of surging waves or paddle down mild pour-overs or just watch cautiously at a distance. Your guide team of Jeff and Hawk are there to insure a safe adventurous trip Having worked together for years Hawk and Jeff can seamlessly put together for you the trip of lifetime that has something to offer paddlers of any skill level.
To cap the trip off we値l paddle into La Bufadora. Home to an enormous blowhole, this laid-back tourist attraction provides restaurants overlooking the bay where we値l dine on ceviche and sip margaritas. If your roll is a bit shaky or if you致e never paddled whitewater boats before, we値l provide stable sit-on-top kayaks. All equipment for this adventure is provided including boat, spray skirt, life jacket, wetsuit, paddle, and tents. (excluding personal gear and sleeping bag)

Comments: This group of Kids had a great trip with us down the Mellow but exquisite South Fork Eel river. We drifted down river banks lined with old growth redwood trees and across streams carrying Chinook and Coho Salmon to distant spawning grounds. We stopped for lunch on a large river bar and swam in a large emerald pool at the take-out. Bring your class or group out for an adventure with Humboats expert guides and naturalist.
